Thank you to the twenty five who joined us for First Friday networking on 4 November, 2022.
On this occasion our after-lunch speaker was Stephen Martin of Petersfield’s Shine Radio, fresh off a plane from South Africa where he had been carrying out his ‘day job’ for the BBC.
Stephen is one of the founders of Shine Radio and gave us some insight into how it is run entirely by volunteers, how it’s popularity is growing and how it is home to unique local shows that celebrate the best in our town. He wrapped up the session answering questions from the floor.

Shine Radio are also running a ‘Shop Local and Shine’ campaign, starting Friday 25th November, the day the Christmas Lights are switched on in Petersfield, and running throughout the festive period.
A single payment of £50 gets you:
1) on air on Shine Radio throughout the festive period
2) an entry in the online directory at shineradio.uk
3) promotional posters for your window display
4) mentions via Shine Radio’s social channels.
If you’d like to join in the campaign this year email them on team@shineradio.uk They will help you refine your message and organise voice recording and production.
They want to sign-up as many people as possible before the Christmas lights switch-on when they’ll be broadcasting live from the event.
